M.A.P.S. MAPS has
positioned itself at the center of the conflict between scientific
exploration and the politically-driven strategy of the War on Drugs.
We are the only membership organization supporting crucial research
into the healing and spiritual potentials of MDMA, psychedelic drugs
and marijuana. Since 1986, we have sought to rekindle research that
was largely abandoned by the mid-Seventies, including substance
abuse treatment and work with terminal cancer patients. Please
join MAPS in supporting the expansion of scientific knowledge in
this promising area. Donations of $50 or more make a big
difference in our ability to support research:
The
Alchemind Society An international
nonprofit association of people working in the public interest to
protect the fundamental right to freedom of the mind. We
celebrate, foster, and protect cognitive liberty: the right
of each individual to think independently, to use the full
spectrum of his or her mind, and to engage in multiple modes of
thought and alternative states of consciousness.
DanceSafe DanceSafe
is a nonprofit, harm reduction organization promoting health and
safety within the rave and nightclub community. We currently have
local chapters in twenty-four cities throughout the US and Canada.
By the end of the year we expect to have at least a dozen more.

loop". Just fill in your name, e-mail address and state, click
on "send command", and you'll be a part of it from now on.
You'll receive The Week Online, our original weekly e-zine, and

A.C.L.U.
Defending First Amendment freedoms,
equality, privacy rights and fundamental fairness requires constant
vigilance and support.
Council On Spiritual Practices Among its areas of inquiry, the
Council is studying the entheogens. Historically, psychoactive
plants have played major (and likely formative) roles in several of
the world's religions. Currently, the Native American Church and
other spiritual groups around the world incorporate entheogens in
their practices. Their experience suggests that the careful use of
entheogens can bring rich returns with manageable risks. We will
explore how others may benefit similarly.
DrugSense We
exist to provide accurate information relevant to drug policy in
order to heighten awareness of the extreme damage being caused to
our nation and the world by our current flawed and failed "War
on Drugs." We aim to inform the public of the existence of
rational alternatives to the drug war, and to help organize citizens
to bring about needed reforms.
